What is the difference between turbine speed sensor and output speed sensor?
The 8F24 turbine speed sensor monitors the rotation speed of the transmission’s turbine shaft (connected to the engine), while the output speed sensor monitors the output shaft speed (connected to the wheels). This sensor’s data helps the TCU match engine speed with transmission speed, ensuring smooth gear shifts and preventing transmission damage. A faulty turbine speed sensor mainly causes shift delays or harsh shifts, different from output speed sensor faults.
