This TR690 steel plate kit is designed for Subaru Lineartronic CVT transmissions including forward and reverse selection components. The TR690 was introduced in 2009 as Subaru's mainstream CVT with input clutch and reduction gears added vs TR580 and 350Nm torque capacity used in Forester Outback Legacy Impreza WRX and more. Overheating or contaminated fluid causes forward steel discs and frictions to burn first. This kit uses high-strength wear-resistant material meeting OEM specs - replacing with friction discs restores proper clearance and smooth delivery.
