What's the difference between Gen2 and Gen1 09G?
The Gen2 09G (post-2013) features optimized valve body design and solenoid control logic for improved shift smoothness and durability – the common 1-2 shift shock issue seen in early models is significantly improved in the second generation. Additionally the two hydraulic pressure sensors G193/G194 found in early models were removed in Gen2, however assemblies are fully interchangeable so Gen2 directly replaces Gen1 products.
